Remote Scada System

Remote SCADA systems are, as the name implies, effective in centralized monitoring and control of liquids in tanks. Major applications are

• Water Supply Systems as in Municipal/ City supplies, Public Health Engineering and other departmental applications in monitoring of levels in tanks, opening or closing of valves for delivery or operation of pumps based on levels, time, pressure and flow
• Waste Water Treatment plants
• Diesel monitoring in tanks.

Remote monitoring and Control System

Based on GSM communication the system comprises of

At the Tank End

Magnetic multi stage or continuous level sensing probe unit

Digital Level Indicator with 4 control set points

GSM Modem for transmission and receipt of Data

Controller to operate Valves/ Pumps as required.

At the Central Location or Pump location

At the Pump end

RTU with GSM connectivity and Alarm and control output

Controller for operating the pump or valve depending upon the respective requirements.

How it works

The probe unit feeds an analog signal to the Master Control Unit

The master control unit displays the level of liquid in tank. The display can be in Jumbo digits of 100 mm or standard 12.5 mm

The set points for control in in the MCU and RTU are also set from the master control unit (MCU) itself.

The MCU sends the information to RTU either at set intervals or at changes in level by SMS.

The MCU is a self contained unit housing Indicator, Controller, RS Converters and built in SMPS.

At the RTU end the RTU displays the last level information received. The RTU also has NO-NC output at the setpoints set at the MCU. This output is fed to the Controller which has the logics to operate the pumps or valves as required.

The Controller is customized to meet the user's requirement and has features like pump sequencing, dry run protection etc as required.
