Applications
TRIPPER
You start the pump, but often forget to switch it off, resulting in
OVERFLOW - wastage of both electricity and water, in addition to messing up
of surroundings, and damaging walls and roof. TRIPPER switches off the pump
automatically, when the tank is full.
WATER MANAGER FLIC V-1
To provide automatic control to water pump. Starts the pump when level in
the overhead (destination) tank is LOW and switches it off when the tank is
FULL. This is suitable where the source of water is unlimited (like
groundwater or in case of a tube-well). Models to operate single-phase pumps
directly or 3-phase pump through its starter coil.
WATER MANAGER FLIC V-2
As V-1 above, but also monitors level in the supplying tank, when water is
being drawn from there. It stops the pump, in case water in the source tank
depletes, and prevents dry running damage.
WATER MANAGER FLIC V-S (For Basement Toilets)
For sump pump automation: Starts the pump, when level in sump rises, and
switches off on emptying the tank. In case level goes to a high critical
point, an audio alarm is sounded, which can help warn to check the problem
(optional).
WATER MANAGER FLIC V-1 D & FLIC V-2 D
When the system supplies to TWO tanks from ONE pump
WATER MANAGER FLIC-500 (Industrial Applications)
Gives Level Indication (5 stages of 20% each), Automatic Control of Pump,
and Warning Alarms if level goes OUTSIDE the automation range. (Price on
request, after studying requirement)
Actuating floats for Ser. 1 to 3 and Ser. No 5 are made from polypropylene,
whereas for Ser. 4 and 6 these are made from Stainless steel. Each probe
unit uses only ONE float.
All systems are stand-alone, fully functional, suitable for direct
application. Input voltage 220 V AC. We offer control systems for most
liquids. Wetted parts SS 304/316. To get your quotation, please send in
detailed requirement.
Most large buildings and Housing
complexes have a requirement for storage and handling of water. Where raw
water is drawn from ground, there is a further requirement of purification
of water before supply. Further there is a requirement of treatment of
wastewater and it's handling and disposal. It implies managing wastewater
pumps through automation. Hotels, Restaurants, Dairies, Municipal
corporations and Industrial users It is important for consultants and
architects to design water supply and disposal in such a way as to ensure
that the users never have to worry about handling pumps and checking levels
as a routine. ACTIVE CONTROLS provide complete automation from Start to End
in the Water Supply Scheme. Since water invariably corrodes most equipment,
Active Controls' emphasis has been to supply equipment that is NOT AFFECTED
by water corrosion; meaning NO MAINTENANCE. Below are some of the areas
where our systems are being regularly used. This however is only a guideline
and there no limit to how innovatively you like to design your process.
Localized
Water Treatment Plant
Typical Water
Supply Systems

This
is a standard arrangement where water is drawn from a tube well (submersible
pump) and pumped directly to the overhead tank. A variation to this is a
sump tank where water is received from a tube well or municipal water supply
and then pumped to the overhead tank. Automation system provides
- Level indication in 5 OR 10 stages depending on
depth of tank
- Automatic Control of water pump. In case there are two pumps, then
the control system is configured to operate i) In automatic alternate
duty change at every operation. OR ii) Manual pump selector for deciding
the duty and standby pump.
- Level warning alarm in case pump fails to operate.
- Other options like Control of pumps based on TIME, control of dozing
pump,
When Using One Sump To Fill Two Or More Tanks
The system uses electrically operated valves to control flow in to tanks
Sump Pumps

In
case of Sewage disposal systems, treatment plants , basement sumps where
waste water level needs to be monitored and pumps or valves controlled,
ACTIVE CONTROL systems are very reliable. These are designed to operate one
or more pumps depending on inflow and discharge, and the level in sump
tanks. Very effectively used in complete STP operation.
- Pump 1 switches ON at level L1 and
- Switches off at level L0
- On next operation Pump 2 switches ON at Level L1 and switches off at
Level L0
- If during the operation of P1 OR P2 level rises higher to L2, the
pump not operating also switches ON. At this point both pumps operate to
pump out the water
- If level further rises to L3 despite both pumps operating, an audio
alarm is sounded to warn the attendant of the situation.
This is a typical application. We can provide any type of controls to
suit the user plan, design or requirement
Automation Of Water Supply
System

Where
a number of buildings are supplied water from one set of pumps, a very
effective plan is through a ring-main, which supplies water to all the
feeders. This type of systems is operated based on levels.
- The system is configured to operate in such a way
that the pump will be switched ON when level in any ONE tank drops, but
will be switched OFF, when all the tanks are full.
- All tanks are provided with normally open solenoid valves. These are
independent of the water level controller and operate as Float type
(Ball cock) valves. Each valve has one level controller to prevent
overflow.
As each tank gets filled up, it gives the signal to the pump to
switch off. Just above this level the inlet solenoid valve of this tank
closes, thereby preventing overflow. When the last tank fills up, the pump
switches off.
The unit may also have a level indicator to give the availability in each
tank. The level indicator can be placed at any suitable location near the
pump room.
Municipal, Rural Water
Supply and Public Health Engineering.
Our Level Monitoring and Control Systems are effectively used in automation
and control of Pumps, including Supervisory Control (SCADA). The pumps can
be operated based on real time clock as well as Levels, with information on
water availability and Pump Health. These combined with Level indication and
Alarm provide comprehensive control and protection in water supply and all
it's applications. Similarly these are effective in ETPs and Sewage
Treatment plants to operate the complete scheme based on levels and other
inputs from different sensors and monitors. Please contact us with your
